After leaving Brooklyn, I came to South Korea to teach English to elementary school kids. In the winter, I like to show kids how to fold a piece of paper and cut a design into it, to make a snowflake. At the time of writing this description, I have been a teacher for about five years. Now, that's a lot of snowflakes. And even though those first kids I showed have already "grown-up," there is always a new generation ready to be wide-eyed and amazed. I guess that's what this song is about.
lyrics
Snowflakes
We’re like snowflakes
How easy,
we melt away
And you say
That you’ll stay
But snowflakes
don’t have a say
I’ll take your love
And hold it in my glove
And put it in my freezer tray so
I can keep you night and day
I’ll make you stay
I’ll make you stay
So pick up, just pick up
Just pick up your hat
You might need that,
you might need that
When you go
where you go
When you go
where snowflakes go
